Blue & Gold is the annual celebration of 5th Grade Cub Scouts who, after completing their rank of Arrow Of Light, will “bridge” over to a Troop of their choice. We usually gather in the school gym with a decorated theme, delicious food, and live entertainment post-ceremony.
Well, this year’s Blue & Gold was definitely a bit different. Due to the closure of our Chartered Organization (Beebe Elementary School), we had to host our annual Blue & Gold virtually.
I am proud to report it was no less special and entertaining than in previous years.
While we do hope to be in-person once again, the bridging AOL Scouts loved being spotlighted on the Zoom and all the Scouts in 567 enjoyed their Fleur De Lis cookies while watching several special videos including the one below. We wanted our Scouts and their families to know that in spite of everything, they did a terrific job and #scouton in 2020.
